Set in Rochdale, England, Waterloo Road is the popular BBC TV series centering on the teachers and pupils of a troubled comprehensive school, dealing with issues such as divorce, relationships, suicide and teenage pregnancy.
The series was first aired in 2006 and due to its popularity has now been commissioned for a fifth series. Series 3: Autumn Term begins with headmaster Jack Rimmer (Jason Merrells) listening to the radio about the death by stabbing of his colleague Izzie (Jill Halfpenny).
Eddie Lawson (Neil Morrissey) has now become the deputy head and Rachel (Eva Pope) succeeds Rimmer as School Head. Series 3: Spring Term sees Rachel well established into her new role and it’s exam time for the pupils.
Waterloo Road: Series 3 – Spring Term is released on 3-disc DVD on 11th May.
