American tv-drama/comedy Pushing Daisies was created by Bryan Fuller and premiered on TV network, ABC in October 2007. The show garnered 13 million US viewers for it’s pilot (pie-lette) episode and overall and average of almost 8 million for the 2 seasons.
The plot centers around the character, Ned (Lee Pace) and pie maker with a gift for bringing dead people back to life by touching them. When his childhood sweetheart, Chuck (Anna Friel) is murdered, he cannot resist bringing her back to life but is now unable to touch her or she will fall dead again.
The style of the show is quirky and eccentric. All the main characters names are alliterative and the set design is bright and storybook-like.
The 13 episodes of Pushing Daisies: Season 2 finish airing in the US in June 2009 and the DVD and BluRay will be released simultaneously in the UK on 25th May 2009.
