‘The Boat That Rocked’ will be released to DVD on 7 September 2009. It’s the 1960s and a maverick group of DJs are captivating Britain by playing rock and pop from a Pirate radio station installed on board a ship.
‘Radio Rock’ blasts out 24 hours a day and has an audience of over half of the British population. The people want it but the government doesn’t! Dormandy the government minister is determined to put an end to the pirate radio station. The trouble is he hadn’t reckoned on the fans of ‘Radio Rock’ and what they would do to save the radio station from being banned.
‘The Boat That Rocked’ is packed full of acting greats like Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Highy, Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh. It will be released on 7 July 2009.
