The Unseen Academicals, Sir Terry Pratchett’s forthcoming addition to the Discworld series introduces the game of football into the ancient city of Ankh-Morpork - an updated version of the sport with a new, fast football, pointy hats for goalposts and balls that go on going when you drop them. The wizards of Unseen University, led by Mustrum Ridcully have to win a match, without using magic, so they’ll try to beat their opponents using any other method they can.
As the story unfolds and the match approaches, four lives are entangled and changed for ever.
The Unseen Academicals, the 37th Discworld novel, is released on hardback and audio cd on 8th October.
