
Calvin Harris Release Date
Calvin Harris is a Scottish electropop/dance musician and producer. He rose to notoriety after being spotted by Kylie Minogue in 2007 who asked him to come and co-write and produce for her on her album “X”.
He collaborated and performed with UK rapper, Dizzee Rascal on his 2008 single “Dance With Me” and is currently working with Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
His new album, Ready for the Weekend, his second studio album, features the number one single “I’m Not Alone” which was released in April this year first on digital download where it went straight in at number one and then on physical format, keeping it in the top spot for another week.
Ready for the Weekend is released on 17th August followed by a lengthy UK tour later in the Autumn.

Whitney Houston Release Date
The eagerly anticipated 7th studio album from the great Whitney Houston is released late summer. I Look To You will be a mixture of big ballads and 80′s dance music classically suited to the style of the 80′s iconic singer. Produced by Clive Davis, writers and contributors to the album also include Swizz Beatz, Johnta Austin, Alicia Keys, David Foster, R Kelly, Harvey Mason, Jr., Diane Warren and Akon (guest vocalist).
The album was recently featured in listening parties in both the UK and the US to rave reception by the world’s press. The album has a contemporary feel yet retains Whitney’s signature style. The title track, “I Look to You” written by R Kelly is a sweeping ballad and will be the first single off the album

Madonna Release Date
Madonna releases her third greatest hits album, Celebration, this Autumn as a final release with her current label, Warners Bros.
Described by the official Madonna website as “The Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection: 34 Songs That Changed the World”, there will be a total of 36 tracks with 2 new compositions and will precede a new album in 2010. The title track, “Celebration” will be the first single release and other tracks will include:
“Everybody”
“Express Yourself”
“Vogue”
“4 Minutes” (featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland)
All tracks have been remastered and were chosen by Madonna and her fans who were asked by Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary via Twitter for their input. The album will be released in single and double CD format, digital download and there will also be an accompanying DVD release with classic videos and several never before seen on DVD. The clever artwork was produced by “Mr. Brainwash”.
Celebration is released on 21st September.

Pearl Jam Release Date
US alternative rock band, Pearl Jam, release their 9th studio album, Backspacer this September. Released in a limited edition gatefold sleeve and standard cd the album has an uptempo, strong feel to it with plenty of ballads and songs with a rock/pop/new wave feel.
The band chose to go back and work with “brutally honest” producer, Brendan O’Brien who produced their 1998 album, Yield. Lead vocalist, Eddie Vedder, said the band were ready for input from someone who they could trust to “cut the songs up a little bit”. They were impressed with the way he worked with Bruce Springsteen and said that if it Bruce took his advice, they would too.
Backspacer is released on 21st September.

Mariah Carey Release Date
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel will be R&B/pop songstress, Mariah Carey’s 12th studio album, released this Autumn.
The album is according to Mariah very personal to her and dedicated to her fans and covers a wide variety of stories and emotions from her personal life.
Mariah used Twitter to announce in June that “this album has something for everybody”, including “Big Ballads”, and that she “tried to make something for all who love Butterfly, and even older albums”.
The first single from the album, “Obsessed” was released on June 16th and debuted at number 11 in the US Billboard chart, her highest debut since May 1998.
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel will be released on 14th September.

Beatles White Album Release Date
Continuing with the reissues series of Beatles album, the White Album, double cd original recording remastered is released on 9th September. Originally released in 1968 it was the 9th UK album (the 15th in America) it was the first album to be released following the death of Beatles manager, Brian Epstein.
The songwriting for The White Album took place during a transcendental meditation retreat that the band took in Rishikesh, India with Maharashi Mahesh Yogi, although they were meant to be escaping from all worldly concerns, Lennon and McCartney found themselves unable to resist meeting in secret to write together with Lennon proclaiming later, “I did write some of my best songs there.”
The White Album remastered original is released on 9th September.

Rock Band: The Beatles Release Date
Rock Band: The Beatles is the ultimate music game experience for any Beatles or music fan. This is the ‘TomTom GO 740 Live Sat Nav’. This satellite navigation unit uses TomTom’s latest technology called TomTom LIVE.
TomTom LIVE (requires a low subscription) will connect users to premium services including High Definition Traffic, mobile safety camera locations, fuel prices, and local search using Google. These services can only be obtained through TomTom. There is the latest map guarantee future which allows users to download the most current map available from TomTom’s website. The ‘Help me!’ function will provide information quickly for things like local emergency services.

Beatles Digitally Remastered Album Reissues – Release Date

Beatles Remasters Release Date
After almost a 22 year wait, digitally remastered versions of all of the Beatles studio albums will be released on 9th September 2009. Each album will feature the original track listings and artwork and include new liner notes, original written material and rare photos. A brief documentary about each albums’ making will be digitally embedded for a limited period only.
The rereleases will include the Beatles’ 12 studio albums, Magical Mystery Tour and Past Masters Vol. I and II, which will be packaged as one collection in a 14 disc box set. All of the 14 CDs will be available with documentary DVDs and an additional 10-disc set entitled “The Beatles in Mono” will also be released.
According to an EMI press release, Engineers at London’s Abbey Road Studios spent four years working on the remasters using new technology and vintage equipment, “in an effort to preserve the authenticity and integrity of the original analogue recordings” and to ensure “the highest fidelity the catalog has seen since its original release.”
