Microsoft Explorer Mouse release dates
This mouse can literally go where no mouse has gone before.
Working on carpets, granite, wood, Berber and, according to manufacturers’ description, even on a “rough unfinished park bench” (but you may not want to sit on it!).
Using the world’s most advanced tracking, the Microsoft Explorer Mouse leaves optical and laser mice standing. Packing a comfortable weight and full sized, it’s precise and responsive, gliding well and noticeably smoother than most mice. It also has a reliable connection delivered by the 2.4 GHz wireless and snap-in mini-transceiver.
It can last three weeks between charges and is supplied with an AA NiMH battery which can be replaced with a normal AA when it runs out. Overall, the design is comfortable with buttons well sited and an effective horizontal scroll. An indicator light placed on top of the mouse tells you when the mouse is charging or if it needs to be charged up and a cool, glowing blue light gives a hi-tech feel. Tracking is good and there’s no lag or wireless connection loss with a thirty foot wireless range. All in all, the Microsoft Explorer Mouse represents quality at a fair price.
