Advent Altro
The latest in svelte looking netbooks, the Advent Altro takes a leaf out of Apple’s MacBook Air without packing the same price.
It comes with Windows Vista Premium but is eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 7 later this year. It has an Intel Celeron chip, 3 GB of RAM and a 120 GB of hard drive, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Due to be released on 24th August, it has a 13.3 inch screen (like the MacBook) that makes for easier reading. With slim, good looks, the Advent Altro has a narrow 21mm thin frame and weighs 1.6kg making it very portable.
With a multitouch pad and fingerprint reader that recognises the user’s touch the Altro also possesses a built-in web cam with a single USB 2.0 port, an HDMI audio out and a multifunction connector.
A second slightly more expensive version; The Advent Altro Elite will sport a “premium flush glass finish,” a Core 2 Solo chip and have a longer battery life.
