At long last a date has been set for the release of the new iPhone 3GS in the UK and US and is………

Announced at the annual developers conference the new 3G iPhone or the iphone 3Gs as it is now called will be released on the 19th June 2009.
The “S” in the new model number stands for speed, according to Apple, as under the processor improvements speed the device up especially for rendering graphics and other processor hungry tasks.
The new apple iphone 3GS is also stated as having a much better battery life, which is a much needed plus to all current iphone users. Apple states running times of 5 hours of talk time and 9 hours of wi-fi browsing and general usage between charges.
Other quoted features include:
Voice control and talk back to its owner about the music it is playing.
Improved onboard camera up to 3.2 megapixels from the 2 megapixels in earlier versions.
Ability to shoot video at 30 frames per second.

The iPhone 3GS will cost $199 for a 16GB version and $299 for a 32GB version.
For the On its website O2 has clarified prices for the different iPhones. The new Apple iPhone 3G is free on all but the two lowest monthly tariffs where it costs £96.89. Customers must also commit to at least an 18 month contract.
Customers can get a new 3G iPhone (3Gs) for free if they pick the highest monthly tariffs.
So that’s it… the iPhone 3GS will be released on the 19th June, I for one will be queing up to get one now that I can store a decent amopunt of data on it!

Red Faction: Guerilla Release Date
The Red Faction series continues with the release of the third instalment, Guerilla. Red Faction:Guerrilla takes place in 2120, nearly 50 years after the events of the first Red Faction. The Earth Defense Force (EDF), the allies in the original Red Faction, has become the main antagonist of Guerrilla. The organization has now turned to kidnapping people and putting them in forced work camps for their own profit. Played this time around in the third person, players assume the command of character Alec Mason, a former miner who rebels against the EDF. He entered the war against the EDF because of his brother’s murder and has become a part of the newly re-formed Red Faction, whose motto is “Better Red than Dead”.
Most of the game takes place on the terraformed surface of Mars, with other locations including the Ultor labs, to pay homage to the first Red Faction. The game is set to be released June 9 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and August 25 for Microsoft Windows.
