Dream Theater Release Date
On 22nd June, US prog metal band, Dream Theater release their 10th studio album, Black Clouds and Silver Linings. Produced by band members Mike Portnoy and John Petrucci, the album was mixed by Paul Northfield who as well as working on their last album, also mixes for Rush and Suicidal Tendencies.
In addition to the standard CD release, there will also be a special edition triple CD with a bonus disc of cover numbers, with each title revealed weekly 6 weeks prior to the album release. There will be a third format in the form of a Deluxe Collectors Edition boxset which will be packaged in a silver foil embossed black velvet box. The contents of the box will include the 3-CD special edition, 180-Gram Double LP with artwork from Hugh Syme, ”Producer’s Edition” disc with isolated audio tracks of the entire album, numbered lithograph by Hugh Syme with 100 personally signed by the artist, a mouse pad and random box sets will include a “silver ticket” which will win fans a chance to meet the band in person.

Due to be released on 18 May 2009 is the ‘Asus Eee PC 1008 HA Seashell Netbook’. This netbook comes with a white exterior. It is extremely lightweight and portable being only 1 inch thick at its deepest point.
Battery life is exceptional at nearly 5 hours usability between charging. The Netbook operates at an impressive 1.67 GHz and has one gigabyte of RAM with 160 GB of storage space. The display screen is 10 inches and the operating system is Windows XP. The keyboard comes with comfort in mind as the keys are a welcome 92% of normal sized keys. A nice addition is the 1.3 megapixel web cam that is inbuilt.
The ‘Asus Eee PC 1008 HA Seashell Netbook’ is a great option for synchronisation between devices and also is an extremely portable device for use with WiFi hotspots. It will be released on 18 May 2009.
