David Archuleta Release Date
David Archuleta is one of the youngest singers to make the final of American Idol which he achieved in 2007, as runner up to David Cook, receiving 44% of the 97 million viewers vote.
David then signed to Jive Records and his self-titled album was released in the US in November with the first single “Crush” reaching number 2 (runner up again!) in the US Billboard chart. It is one of the highest selling debut American Idol singles.
The US album sales have now reached Gold and it’s peak position was also number 2.

Lil Wayne Release Date
This will be the US rapper, Lil Wayne’s 7th studio album entitled Rebirth and will be his first rock debut, although it will include some rap songs.
Collaborators on the album include Fall Out Boy, Lenny Kravitz and Pete Wentz. Avril Lavigne is also set to make a cameo in a tribute song to the Beastie Boys performed by Young Money affiliate, Drake.
Producers include long-time support DJ Infamous with Andrew “Drew” Correa, Cool & Dre, Develop and Essay Potna.
Rebirth is released on Island records on 15th June.

Bjork Ltd Edition Release Date
Voltaic is a beautifully crafted package and a celebration of the past two years of Björks Volta campaign– her hugely critically acclaimed sixth studio album which came out in 2007, and preceded her massive two year world tour.
Bjork described the them of the album in an interview in 2007:
“…with this one, it was different because I knew more emotionally what I wanted. And because I’d done two or three projects in a row that were quite serious, maybe I just needed to get that out of my system or something. So all I wanted to do for this album was just to have fun and do something that was full-bodied and really up.”
The CD/DVD is on double CD and double DVD in either limited deluxe or standard packaging. Voltaic is released through One Little Indian on 1st June.

Thomas Dolby Release Date
Thomas Dolby is probably one of the most prolific artists of the 80′s pop scene and a pioneer of electronic music. This Best of compilation comes in a CD/DVD set entitled ‘The Singular Thomas Dolby’ released by EMI on May 18.
All previously released singles, including “She Blinded me with Science” and “Hyperactive” have been digitally remastered and the DVD disc will contain all the video singles which were available on the original VHS/BETA/LASERDISC release of The Golden Age Of Video, as well as the videos for the songs Silk Pyjamas, I Love You Goodbye and Close But No Cigar, taken from the 1992 album Astronauts & Heretics.
Dolby is currently working on a new studio album which will be his first album release since 1992.

CKY Release Date
American rock band, CKY, or Camp Kill Yourself, have release 3 studio albums since they formed in 1998 - Volume 1 in 1999, Infiltrate-Destroy-Rebuild in 2002 and An Answer Can Be Found in 2005. Their fourth, Carver City is released on 18th May.
The band are named after the CKY Video series of skate and prankster videos created by the drummer’s brother, Bam Margera, in which the band’s music is featured. CKY have also had their music featured in the popular Jackass series and Jackass: The Movie and provide the soundtrack to Resident Evil: The Apocolypse.
Carver City is hailed by the band as having a “dark summer vacation vibe” and is released through Roadrunner Records on 18th May.
