Ben's Brother Release Date
Ben’s Brother release their second album, Battling Giants, on 11th May. The London five-piece, head by Jamie Hartman are named after Jamie’s big brother Ben, as a friendly dig at Ben’s higher status in the family over Jamie.
Their debut album, Beta Male Fairytales, was released on August 6, 2007 and received great critical acclaim. One of the tracks, “Let Me Out” was nominated in 2008 for an Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically & Lyrically.
Battling Giants has received excellent reviews and the fabulous first single “Apologise” was co-written by Natalie Imbruglia.
Battling Giants is released on CD on 11th May.

In Case of Fire Release Date
Northern Irish alternative rock band, Case of Fire, release their debut full album, “Align the Planets” on 11th May through Search & Destroy Records.
The band have been touring extensively since they formed in 2005, supporting artists such as label mates, Fightstar, Queens of the Stoneage and Bullet for My Valentine. They also opened for the 2009 Kerrang! tour and have played as support at the Royal Albert Hall this March.
“Align the Planets” has received positive reviews in the music press and featured are the two singles, “This Time We Stand” and “The Cleansing” which was released in March and reached #10 in the UK indie chart.
“Align the Planets” is released on 11th May on CD.

Fringe Release Date
Fringe is a new Sci-Fi TV series following an FBI Fringe team division based in Boston, Massachusetts, in which they use unorthodox and unusual investigative techniques or ”fringe” science along with conventional FBI procedures to investigate “the Pattern”, unexplained, grisly occurrences which are occurring all over the world. You could call it a cross between The X-Files, Altered States, The Twilight Zone and Dark Angel.
The show was created by JJ Abrams (Lost, Bad Robot Productions), Alex Kurtzman (Transformers) and Robert Orci (Transformers) and stars John Noble, Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv.
Fringe: Season 1 is released as a 6-Disc set on Warner Home Video on 28th September.

The Simpsons Season 12 Release Date
Also available in a limited edition package in the shape of the head of Comic Book Guy, this DVD is the complete 12th Season with all 21 episodes.
It includes the usual Halloween specials including “G-G-Ghost D-D-Dad” in which Homer dies after eating broccoli and must do one good deed in order to get into heaven; and “Night of the Dolphin” where Dolphins take over the world after Lisa frees their leader from a water park.
Meanwhile, back in Springfield, in an episode called “Home?”, Homer is working as a human guinea pig (to pay off the family’s lost savings after making a bad investment). Homer discovers the root cause of his subnormal intelligence is a crayon that was lodged in his brain ever since he was a kid. He decides to have it removed to increase his IQ, but discovers that being smart does not necessarily equal being happy.
This episode won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Programme.

Beverley Hills Release Date
This is the DVD release of the 6th season of the original Beverley Hills 90210, created by Darren Star and produced by Aaron Spelling in 1990. The show aired until 2000 knocking up 10 seasons and 298 episodes.
The teen drama starred Jason Priestly, Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry and other notables actors such as Hilary Swank from 1997 – 1998. The 6th season features 31 episodes which were shown between 1995 and 1996 and introduced new characters as now featured regulars – Nat Bussichio, Clare Arnold and Ray Pruit.
Beverley Hills 90210: Season 6 is released on Paramount Video on 18th May.

Flight of the Conchords Release Date
Currently showing on BBC 4 in the UK, the HBO series follows the misadventures of New Zealand comedy partners, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, aka Flight of the Conchords.
Performing as a folk/novelty band, the series sees the duo trying to extend their fanbase beyond their stalker groupie, by moving to New York’s East Village. It soon transpires however that the US is not quite ready for their ecclectic and strange brand of music. Season 2 kicks off with them sacking their manager and trying to go it alone.
Jemaine and Bret who play themselves, frequently break into song during each episode and the original numbers include such classics as: “The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room”, “Albini the Racist Dragon”, “A Kiss is not a Contract” and “I Love Dogs with Epilepsy”.
Flight of the Conchords: Season 2 is released on double DVD through Warner Home Video on 3rd August.

Dynasty Season 3 Release Date
The Blakes and the Carringtons, the glamour and the intrigue, the bitching and the back-stabbing, the shoulder pads and the hair – all compulsive viewing for any serious soap fan. Dynasty first appeared on our UK screens way back in 1981 and ran until 1989. The series was created by Richard and Esther Shapiro and producer Aaron Spelling, who is famous for creations such as Starsky and Hutch, Charlie’s Angels, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, and Hart to Hart.
John Forsythe played the role of wealthy oil tycoon, Blake Carrington who marries his younger secretary, Krystal (played by Linda Evans). Enter Joan Collins as Alexis, Blake’s ex-wife who is hell bent on dislodging Krystals crown as wife number two.
Series 3 was aired between 1982 and 1983 and this DVD release includes all 24 episodes on 6 discs.

Hit American sit-com, Big Bang Theory, starring Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons, premiered in September 2007 and has just finished it’s second season.
Created by Chuck Lore and Bill Prady (who worked together on Dharma and Greg and Chuck worked on Two and a Half Men), the show centres around Leonard and Sheldon who are brilliant physicists, who, although geniuses, fail to interact socially with people, especially women. When free-spirit Penny (played by Kayley Cuoco) moves in next door, she starts to rock their world and encourage them out of their geekiness.
The shows airs on the UK on Channel 4 and has so far attracted just over 1 million viewers. Season 1 was released on DVD in January this year and Season 2, with all 23 episodes on a 4-disc set will be released on 19th October.

Stargate Atlantis Release Dates
Spin off series from Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis (or SGA as it’s often abbreviated) has just completed it’s 5th and final season after 100 episodes since it’s first airing on TV in 2004.
The American/Canadian SciFi series was developed by producers Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper and followed the adventures of an expedition to the lost city of Atlantis in the Pegasus Galaxy. The expedition through the Stargate brought humanity into contact with new civilisations and lifeforms, some benevolent, some not so including the Wraith, the Genii, and later the Asurans.
Stargate Atlantis Season 5: Volume 1 to Volume 5 are due to be released through FoxVideo starting on 11th May with Volume 2 available 25th May, Volume 3 June 8th, Volume 4 June 22nd and Volume 5 July 13th. Blu-ray release date is yet to be announced. A 2-hour film is scheduled for June 2009 in the US, UK date to be confirmed.
