‘Star Trek XI’ will be released in UK Cinemas on 8/5/09. This film is the eleventh in the ‘Star Trek’ series and goes back to a time before the original crew of the USS Enterprise were united.
The majority of the characters remain like Captain James T Kirk and Dr Spock although the actors are new. This film covers the time before the characters join together looking into their past and early lives.
Once the characters join Starfleet and come together as the crew of the ‘Enterprise’ they are thrust into a mission to save the United Federation of Planets against the deadly Romulan Nero.

The Baader Meinhof Complex DVD Release Date
‘The Baader Meinhof Complex’ is due for release to DVD 20/4/09. This film is based on the real life events at a time in the 1970’s when the Baader Meinhof group also called the ‘Red Army Faction’ operated as a terrorist group.
The group were led by the radicals Andreas Baader, Ulrike Meinhof and Gudrun Ensslin, they operated usually in Germany. Whilst the groups intent was to liberate Germany of imperialism the opposite was the reality with terrible acts of terrorism inflicted upon their own country.
Horst Herold is a policeman who is well aware what goes on in the mind of an extremist, he will be relentless in stopping them and the atrocities that ‘The Baader Meinhof Complex’ DVD’s explores. The DVD is due to be released on 20/4/09.

Inkheart on Blu-ray Release Date
‘Inkheart’ will be released to Blu-ray on 13/4/09. This is a fantasy story and is the first from the ‘Inkworld Trilogy’. Meggie Folchart’s father Mo has a rather strange ability; he can bring the characters in a book alive as he reads out loud!
On one occasion when Mo was reading aloud he managed to send Meggies mother Resa into a story book so Meggie and her father are all alone in the world despite Mo’s attempts to reverse his error. Others learn of Mo’s ability and pursue him for their own ends. Meggie and her father try to stay one step ahead of them all to no avail.
The pair are captured and with some assistance eventually manage to escape. They must come up with a way to transport their captors into book form so that they will be safe in the future. Find out if they are successful on 13/4/09 when ‘Inkheart’ is released on Blu-ray.

Australia on DVD Release Date
‘Australia is released’ to DVD on 27/4/09. Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman star in the film from the Director Baz Luhrmann.
Lady Sarah Ashley (Kidman) comes into ownership of her estranged dead husband’s ranch in the outback of Australia. At first she plans on selling up but later changes her mind when it becomes apparent that ‘Fletcher’ is swindling her late husband and badly treating a young boy. This spurs her on to get justice but she will need the help of a freelance cowboy played by Hugh Jackman.
‘Australia’ is a complex film with humour, romance and a touch of wartime drama thrown in; it is due to be released to DVD on 27/4/09.

Fightstar - Be Human - Release Date
Be Human’ is the third album from British alternative, post-hardcore band Fightstar. Band members Charlie Simpson (ex-frontman from Busted), Alex Westaway, Dan Haigh and Omar Abidi are set to tour this year including performing at the 2009 Download Festival.
The first single from the album, ‘Mercury Summer’ was released this week and reception for the single has been extremely positive, with the song reaching the A List on the Radio 1 Playlist and being added to the daytime playlist at XFM where it was picked for Ian Camfield’s Record of The Week. Emma Scott and Kerrang Radio station has also made ‘Mercury Summer’ her Record of The Week.

Lacuna Coil is an Italian metal band formed in 1994. They combine male/female vocal harmonies to create a melodic goth/metal sound. Their 5th studio album, “Shallow Life”, was produced by Don Gilmore (known for his work with Linkin Park) at an LA Recording studio and has a slightly Arabic feel to it along with a hard rock sound.

Daniel Merriweather - Love and War Release Date
R&B singer/songwriter, Daniel Merriweather graces his fans with a new album on 25th May. The Melbourne born artist has been recording and performing since 2002 and has collaborated with acts such as Phrase and most notably and prolifically, Mark Ronson. He has performed with Mark on shows such as the MTV Awards, the Brit Awards and the Electric Proms (along with the BBC Symphony Orchestra).
In December 2008, he gave a live performance of his new single, ‘Change’ with Mark Ronson on Radio 1’s Chris Moyles show which was then released in February and reached #8 in the UK Chart.
“Love and War” will be Daniel’s first commercially released album and is due in the shops on 25th May.
