This is a rather unique DAB radio in that it is powered by the sun as its SolarDab name suggests. Inside the body of the radio is a solar panel that will soak up the rays of the sun in bright conditions. Rather cleverly the radio has a solar rechargeable battery which is also being topped up at the same time the sun runs the radio. When the light fails the battery then kicks into operation.
